p2 and Final Cut Studio 2
 

I have a long clip, about 2 minutes, which I would like to extract a segment and process with smooth cam. Since the clip came from a P2 card the 2 minutes are fixed (or are they?) My understanding of smooth cam is that it analyzes the entire clip, not just what you have on the time line.

Export the segment you want via QT current settings with the edits.

Then reimport and apply smooth cam
