HPX-170 Any news ?
Anyone have any further info about the release date for the HPX-170 ? B & H seems to think that mid-September is about right. Also, any info on what size P2 card will be supplied with the camcorder ?

MSRP (unconfirmed) is 5,995, which is the same as the HVX200(200a). My *guess* is that we might expect 5500 or so on release, and then things dropping down to current HVX prices within months if they don't start there right away. current prices from authorized dealers for an hvx are around 5300ish.
Last I heard it was on target for September'ish release, but they just announced the hmc150 as coming on October 2nd (I think), so that might be a more accurate presumption for the HPX170. In otherwords, no hard/confirmed ship date or pricing yet :) Later, Jason |

will come with 16 gig P2 card and the new HVX/HPX book according to Jan.
