I just wanna know...is it going to come with a mic? LOL, the least they could do is provide the external mic since we're paying 6-10k for it.

Good question. At the very least, the HVX200 comes with a built-in stereo mic, located at the front of the top handle just like the AG-DVX100 / 100A. As far as an external mic is concerned, I imagine it's an optional item, but I'll try to get some clarification on that.

Yeah, I knew it would come with a stereo mic, but the external on the dvx100 is like 170 -200 or something around there

You are right it will be an optional item. Reason being that many people may already own a microphone and to put in a good mic would increase the cost of the package and then if you don't use it, that's not good. You paid for it.

Anyhow since there are many fine mics available, you can pick the one that suites your needs and budget.
