Photo mode / High res. stills?
Hello. I am a new member. I was curious whether anyone has had the chance to take stills with the hvx200? I've combed thru a bunch of posts / sites for info on this matter. What exactly does the intervalometer do? My question is if the camera has the ability to take stills? If so, what resolution (for print) are they? And/or, what res. (for print) does a still taken from a NLE turn out to be? Thanks in advance for this info.

There isn't a "still photo" mode, per se. But you can set it in one-shot mode where it will record a burst of frames and then stop. And that frame burst can be as small as one frame. So yes, technically you could make it shoot a single frame, but it would be the same resolution as regular recorded video (i.e., most cameras that do still-frame recording can record at a higher resolution than video; the HVX records a single frame at its normal resolution).
