Camera/Votage/Batteries -- Marshall Monitor -- Which Battery - confused!

I own the HVX and purchased the Anton Bauer Elipz 10k Battery for the camera itself.

I also have the Marshall 7 inch monitor -- and I thought the Anton Bauer could power both, which I am now realizing they cannot.

A guy at Birns and sawyer told me to get the Dionic batteries to power both, but then the place I bought the Anton Bauer said that the camera operates at 7 volts and the Dionic provides 12, and that although the Dionic would work great for the Marshall, but could damage the camera since it wouldn't operate within the 12 volt dionic battery...

So -- here's my question(s) - thoughts --

I am thinking about getting a charger and 2 separate batteries for the Marshall monitor which should provide me with plenty of juice in the field and then power the camera with the Anton Bauer (which I have) and have a couple of back-up Panasonic batteries (like the one that comes with the camera itself) as back-ups in case needed.

Does this sound like an optimal situation? I am new to the voltage parameters and would love any and all advice on whether to return the anton bauer battery (which I can) and get the Dionic -- but am unsure if that will cause problems with the HVX Camera voltage...

Lost in translation,
Thanks for the advice in advance!

Cheers,
Justin

There has to be a simple step-down for 12V to 7V (or whatever the camera is)... I'm looking into doing this in the future and I've been looking for a single battery solution for monitor/camera.

I hear ya...

I hear ya...

Trying to do the same thing -- siple step and am wanting/hoping to figure it out soon -- in the next day or so -- while I can still return the Anton Bauer, if I need to.

Anyone else?

The guys at Zacuto have been working on a single-battery solution for the HVX/Marshall combination. Talk to Jens @ Zacuto in Chicago and see what he says.
