HVX user in Buffalo/Niagara Falls area?

Anybody near that area at all? No local store within 60miles sell the camera (hard to believe isn't it) I called everyone and nobody has it. I need somebody to allow me to hold the cam, shoot some quick stuff with it, check out the lens, etc. I just need to get the feel for this thing and actually hold it before I take the 5200 dollar plunge. Anybody willing to let me see theirs and give it a looksee ;) Ide really apprecaite it since its a hellova drive to go see one at a store where they probably wont even let me hold it.

Try a production house...

I drove 100 miles to Des Moines to rent one from Cinequipt last summer and spent a weekend checking it out. Granted it cost a day's rental and several hours driving, but I used it to shoot a paid gig and still got to spend plenty of time testing it out.

Even if you don't want to rent one, your nearest production house will probably let you hold one, examine it, fetishize it, etc. Something to at least consider. Also, so many people have the HVX camera by now that you can make a very informed buying decision just on word-of-mouth.

I have a new HVX for sale

Hey Kyle - I have a brand new HVX200 with zero hours and complete box, manuals, accessories, etc..

If you're serious about buying the HVX (my HVX) I can probably meet up with you one day as I travel back and forth from Toronto to Buffalo (Rochester actually) now and then.

The thing is if you just want to shoot some tests with my cam and then not buy it I can no longer sell it as "new" so I don't really know if I can help you. You can definitely take a look at it though, power it on, drool a little and then buy it! : )

Let me know, cheers!
