Green screen or blue screen for HD and HVX?
Hi all. . .
I'm a bit confused. . . there are both blue and green screen fabrics out there. Which one do I want for shooting in HD on the HVX for the best compositing? Thanks much! Stephen |
Depends on the foreground. Green is best in general, because it's brighter than blue, but if you're shooting bright green frogs, use a blue screen - and only shoot the Blue Man Group over green.

Thanks, Jon!
Perhaps I should buy BOTH a green and a blue. . . just in case I end up shooting a frog. :-) Stephen |
Hello Stephen,
Check this site out for green screen. http://www.eefx.com/ I shot blue for years with BetaSP. Green seems to work better with the HVX200, at least for me. |

Hi there, Jon. . . do you have a recommended double-sided vendor? I was about to place an order with Mike's recommended eefx.com (I've seen several good things about their product) but now I wonder if there is another option I should consider.
Thanks much. Stephen |
Hello Stephen,
Here is a reversible one. Lastolite REVERSIBLE Chromakey Blue and Green Screen Curtain 10' x 12' http://www.filmtools.com/bolarechsc10.html The eefx is good because the material will light up more evenly. |
