Opinions on this lens for use with the HPX500?

I'm considering (if I can get an HPX500) getting this lens.

Thoughts?

No Zoom motor

I'm sure the glass is great, but you will have to factor in a microforce zoom control w/motor.

There's an Angenieux short zoom around that price too - Angenieux lenses tend to be "colder" than Canon and Fujinon, but they are generally very good.

It, of course, doesn't have a zoom motor either.. actually, for me, that would be a plus because I prefer to zoom manually anyway (I seldom include zooms in my edits) and I prefer a handgrip other than the lens...

Nice thing about the HPX500 is it has a go button on the front just like all cameras used to in the olden times...
