is there a difference between those 2?

Hi Uli,
I asked myself the same question and I got the information from an US dealer who sells all three (!) models: HPX500, HPX502 and HPX555 are identical. They are only labelled differently because of the different markets (Europe or Asia for example) they are intended for.

Simply walk across the street to the Panasonic Germany Office - it´s in Wiesbaden as far as I know?

Kaku Ito wrote about his HPX555 - though regarding the different markets I wonder if there are really NO differences in the cam (some other manufacturers have region version rg. the analog outs (PAL / NTSC)).

That's weird because as far as I know they both shoot in PAL and NTSC.

it turned out that the different "versions" are simply made for warranty reasons ("europe" , "US", "Japan" etc.)
