Interesting site - Too bad when you try to sign up, under "country of origin" the United States isn't an option... I realize that the shrub has POed the citizenry of just about every country in the world, but there are still plenty of us that actually want to interact with people from other counties...

Optical Image Stabilizer
 

I was skimming through the HPX500 site and came across this:

Panasonic's advanced OIS (Optical Image Stabilizer) dramatically reduces the blurring caused by hand-shake. Optical processing with an automatic correction function helps assure consistently clear, sharp images.

This is right under the pictures of the hang gliders on this page:

What?? It has a built in stabilizer?? I spent the next hour going through the manual and camera menus only to find that it has no such stabilizer.

For a moment I was hoping Panasonic did some magic by incorporating an optical stabilizer in it's prism block... wouldn't it be terrific if they could actually do that??
