IMHO this is very interesting

Nice catch. I think their marketing approach is very good too. I could see using these as 'crash cams' on a larger production - easily.

I think this product has the potential to be very, very interesting. There have been many discussions here and elsewhere about the convergence of video and still photography, and in my book, Kodak are a sentimental choice to hit a home run in that space. Kudos for pricing this aggressively and not going overboard on the feature list.

That thing is a candidate for an attempt to get it stuck on the back of a 35mm groundglass adaptor very, very, quickly.

That depends on the light sensitivity and noise. No specs so far.

Also, it's too bad there's no mic input...

It's like my Flip. Only better.

At this price ~$180 you can buy Aiptek Action (another POS) with micron's 5Mp 1/2,5 sensor
and support not only 720p60 (6Mbps max) but also 1080p30 (8Mbps max).

Best part from this is Ambarella H264 codec.

Here's an interesting review of the Zi6:

Indeed, I don't see the advantage of this over the Aiptek, other than the brand name.

Bob can you post a example of this 35mm groundglass setup you propose. Thinking about using this as a second Cam would love if you could flesh out what you were thinking.

Thanks!
