Without having been on set to know for certain, it looks like they are lighting from the left side on the long shots... perhaps both sides in the close ups... I don't see any real evidence of a back light being used...

That's my best semi-educated shot in the dark. ;-}D

Which shots would you like picked apart?

The closeups of the teeth look like a key left of frame and fill right of frame...both large soft lights and oblique enough to leave a dark swath between them at the front of the face.

The wide shots of the dancers look like a single big open face light left of frame and high (look at the shadows on the ground to the right of the dancer).

The background is lit with something big and soft, don't know what it is...looks cool though.

-Look to the shadows and reflective surfaces like eyes (or teeth in this case) to determine light placement
-the angle of the shadows will tell you the height of the light
-the edge of the shadows will tell you whether the light source is hard or soft.
-then check the shoulders to see if there's a hair/rim light being used.

I agree with the former; one h*elluva big, but controllable, light to throw enough light on the subject. Fresnel +2k watts?
On the background there is probably one similar (barndoors) with cookies or two lights. That's about it...?

They are also shooting in a studio with a cyc wall behind the talent. Like Cole said, they are key lighting from the left side and filling from the right at a 90 degree angle from the camera. They controlled the spill coming off of both of these lights so that they had a nice quick falloff of the foreground lights leaving a dark area behind the talent before they started lighting the cyc wall behind them. Nicely done.
