Lights and equipment for green screen.

Any suggestions for lighting a green screen. I am not sure if I should by an actual green screen or use paint like the Rosco Chroma paint also what type of lights work best for lighting behind the talent and also for spill supresion. Basically I want to create a green screen mini studio any help would be appreciated.

Well I would look at two soulutions

1. you can use softboxes and Hotlights like the Chimera kit 8000

2 many people use Keno's for blue and green screens.

Paint or cloth.. depends on how perminent you set up.
either is fine.
but you must light background evenly.. I would look at kenos for background and chimeras for talent with some hardlight for hair and fill

Peace

I had to operate in a very limited space with 8 foot ceilings so I lit the greenscreen cloth from the rear. Placed the subject in front so the hotspot from the light was covered.

Very even illumination for the purpose. Easy to do and fast.

I did have to locate the subject a bit further away from the screen because of green spill on the edge. Still, if I'd had time, I could have scrimmed the lamp and not needed the extra 2 feet.

I've tried it since then and it works very well.
