Impact Qualite

I have been planning to get a couple Lowel Omni's. But I noticed B&H sells the Impact Qualite, which seems sort of similar to the Omni. It's less expensive, and it comes with barndoors. Any thoughts about Qualite vs. Omni?

Pro and Qualite comparison

Kevin at sn-films had done some comparisons of pro light and qualite. You may want to check this link: Index of /Photos/DVXUser

I've only worked with the pro-lite but I noticed the Qualite is made of polycarbonate. I know some polycarbonate lights have a thermal switch to keep them from overheating and they can trip at any time. I've worked with the Lowel for hours without problems. I also like the small size. Hard lights are all point sources so small size doesn't really harm the quality of the light pattern.

The Omin's are 500 watts the Qualite's are 300 watts.
I have three of the Omni's and although I prefer my Fresnel's they are great when compactness is prefered over ease of use.

Went with Omni's

Thanks guys!

I decided to go with the Omni's. They seem to have more options, and are probably sturdier. Also, I like having the switch on the power cord, rather than on the unit itself.
