portable reflector/diffuser with less diffusion?

I have a photoflex 5-in-1 collapsing reflector/diffuser that gets used as a reflector on just about every shoot. However, the diffusion mode is too opaque and while softening the light, also cuts out like a stop and a half of light.

Is there another brand of portable collapsing diffuser that is less dense? Like maybe closer to 1/4 silk? I love the form factor of the flip-out diffuser, but would really like to have a lighter diffusion option.

Anybody got any opinions/experience with such a beast? Maybe some cheapy brand has a thinner diffusion?

Thanks!
