Comer 1800 Power Adapter

I ordered the Comer 1800 light and would like to make an adaptor so i can remotely mount the battery (like the sony light). has anybody done this already and would like to share?

Otherwise, i have seen a series 7 adapter plate that would be perfect but does anybody know if the series 7 adaptor would fit the Sony L batteries?

Here in OZ i dont know who sells them so i can find out so any help would be appreciated.

Here is the adapter

I heard from Comer. They are in the process of designing an adapter you can connect to the right side of the DC jack. So you can power the light with that adapter with a battery mounted on top of it. That adapter has different model that can take Sony or Panasonic batteries (or maybe Canon too). No other solid informatioin yet.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Just for weight distribution.

that plate is perfect but you just need to be careful if you plug it into the comer light, the positive and negative are opposite to every other device so it could damage the light, you might need to snip the wires and swap them over is all. if only someone can tell me if it fits the sony batteries(looks like it does).
