IKAN Lights, Green Spike or Not???

I am wondering if anyone has experience with the Ikan ID1000 V-2 or the ID500 V-2

I am particularly interested to know if they have the green spike?

Re: IKAN Lights, Green Spike or Not???

I have the Ikan IFD576, which is supposed to balanced at 5600K. I have only used it with other lighting that is at either 4500 or 3200. So far I have had pretty good luck using 2 stacked Lee CTO 206 filters to balance to 3200, and one 206 and a 223 stacked to balance for 4500 (not necessarily fluorescent but indoors influenced with a lot of window daylight).

I am broadly aware of the worry about green spikes in LEDs and haven't really noticed it yet. But I think that even if you do have any, you might be able to filter your way out of it---perhaps with a Tungsten to Blue, like a 203 or so--maybe even doubling them up.

Sometimes if I have to, I really don't care what the temp is as long as it is the same all over (assuming that is what I wanted)...then I fight with it in post! :-)

I know that this isn't a direct answer to your question, but it is close as I can get. I hope that it helps a bit anyway.
