thanks for the posts Charles but I'm not sure if those will work. I know the one for the V1U does not cover the battery compartment, at least not without modification. I'm just going to hold off until I get the one that was made for my cam.

Nick,

I have the VL-10Li that I've been using on my A1. Great Light ! I have my camera for sale and if it goes today or tomorrow - I'll be ready to move the light. [ I don't want to have to hang on to a Canon charger & different batteries. ]

I have the Canon VL-10Li with 2 big after-market batteries, a diffuser and a small charger that I could turn loose of. I've used one of those batteries for probably more than an hour so far and didn't run it down - so I don't really know how long they last with it. The good thing is the light works great with the A1 - and you don't have to carry around different batteries for different equipment.

UPDATE: Camera sold. Do you have an offer on the light ?
