2 Canon XL1's for sale!

I put these up for sale a while ago, and then moved on with other things and kind of forgot I still had them for sale. On that note...
These two fantastic Canon XL1's can be yours, CHEAP!
Great for impressing girls, wowing family at gatherings, making security guards nervous, and even shooting video!

For sale:

1 Canon XL1/EVF/Mic/full kit with 16x lens
1 Canon XL1/EVF/Mic/full kit with 3x lens

Includes:
4 batteries
Chargers and AC adapters
remote control
shoulder strap
Instruction manual
Probably assorted other stuff, filters, etc...
Hours: around 80-100 each, tops. Probably more like 60 though.

How much? A shockingly cheap $3400us for BOTH.
Fire up that Paypal account and scoop them while they are available!
What, you just want one?
Ok, $1600 for the XL1 with the 16x lens, or $1800 for the XL1 with the 3x lens.
But wait, you want just a Canon XL1 body/viewfinder/mic, without the lens? Ummm... OK, how does $1200 sound? Just want the 3x lens? Not unless I sell a body first, sorry.

Here's the dealie... I want these out of my closet ASAP, so I'm willing to consider all offers or trades (I could use a Canon 20d or a good laptop).
If they aren't gone in a week, it is Ebay time!

Optional: A Canon ZR40 camcorder that I use as a deck to keep playback/log hours off the XL1's.
Optional: 1 Kata rain cover
Optional: 1 PortaBrace quick draw case

Email me for details, but you probably know the rest... buyer pays shipping, Paypal fees, or whatever...

Cheers!

Hey, was reading some mesage boards from other DV sites and a couple of product reviews. Apparently JVC even acknowledges that the Canon-JVC compatabilitiy isn't 100%. I have heard the Panny is fine tho.

Bob, does the DV2000 do DVCAM format? Thanks

(Sorry it's taking so long to pick what I am buying, jsut making sure all my bases are covered).

Unless I get an offer on the rest of the kit I still need the USB OTG drive for now. I am not using it a lot but if I need to shoot something I always seem to exceed the 22 minutes the 2 P2 cards hold. I may be willing to sell it seperate if someone buys the rest of the HVX200 kit first.

Thanks!

Matt, I will have to check the book. I use it with my Canon XL-1s with no problems. Just keep the heads clean. It has a/v in/out, dv in/out to either camcorder or computer, s-video in/out. Also uses either pro or mini tapes. I am not sure exactly what you mean by DVCAM. Please explain. Bob

DVCAM is a format used by the Panasonic Pd100 Pd 150, and a fewother cams. It is a higher quality format than DV, but records on the same tapes. It uses a higher tape speed to fit more info onto the same medium.

They also make special DVCAM cameras, sometimes called DVCPro

I know that the deck takes the DVPRO and DVmini tapes, that is the larger one, and has sp and lp record/playback. I think it is one of the top of the line that Panasonic made. I can check the manuel later today. If you look at the picture of the front that I sent it may say porcam on the front. Bob

Matt, I did a google on "Panasonic dv deck" and yes, the dv-2000 will play/record the DVCAM tapes. That is the dvpro tape, or larger 2 hour tapes. Bob

as far as I know the dv2000 is a dv deck, not DVCAM. DVCAM is different. YES, you can use the same tapes, but the DVCAM format records at a higher speed. Most decks will play DVCAM, but wont record it. DVCAM and DVCPRO are 2 different formats as well. DVCPRO is the panasonic version, DVCAM is the sony version. They are all not the same. All the info I've seen on the dv2000 says it's a DV deck and will play and record on the small and large size DV tapes. It's the top of the "prosumer" line, but they also make a pro-line and even those don't record DVCAM because it's Sony's format.

If you want the ability to play and record DVCAM, make sure you buy the right deck, like a DSR-11, 20, 25 etc....
