Thanks Jean-Philippe, sorry I didn't respond to your email--you hit me at an extra busy time. Just coming up for air now.
If anyone wants to jump on the lens by itself right now, great, and then Jean-Philippe can have the adaptor...otherwise I'm going to keep them together as it makes more sense.
