After seven long years, it is time for me to let go of RED Epic X Dragon #0011.

I was fortunate to have been in the “First 100” group of customers for the original RED One. Jim offered me serial number 11, and it was great to have one of the very first batch of RED cameras back in 2007. Later on, when the next-generation RED Epic was announced, Jarred did me a solid favor and slated serial number 11 for my Epic X to match my RED One.

With its original MX sensor, Epic X #0011 did 1,214 hours in the Central Texas rental market, based out of Austin. I took the Dragon 6K upgrade when it became available and removed the camera from rental not long after. The newer Dragon sensor has only 126 hours of use. The camera brain plus all other peripherals have a few minor scuffs, dings and beauty marks here and there, but everything is in perfect working order. The four RedMag SSD cards show the most wear, but they are provided here free of charge. Many elements of this kit include their original packaging, and some components are brand new. The firmware version currently loaded is v5.3.29.

This kit is ready to shoot if you just add a PL or EF lens. There is a premium on this camera by virtue of its very low serial number and very low operational hours. The price is $16,500 with free shipping (by ground) inside the continental US. This is a large, heavy package (three separate boxes) and it is very much cost prohibitive from both a shipping and customs standpoint, so please understand that it's available to US residents only.
