DVFilm.com's "Shooting Digital" for a DV filmmaking hopeful

Myself and my collegiate cohorts are starting pre-pro on a DV feature on a scale far beyond even the sum of all of our experiences can hope to aid. The final format of the piece is still up in the air, but we hope to attain a budget that allows us to shoot SD DV in true 24p (on either a dvx100 or an xl2, depending on timing and budget) with the intentions (or at least possibility) of heading to a true film blow-up for festivals/distribution.

Currently we look to films such as Pieces of April, shot on a PAL pd-150, and 28 Days Later, shot on heavily pimped XL-1's, as examples...shot on SD and eventually, somewhere down the line uprezzed to HD/film. This book from DVFilm.com:

http://www.dvfilm.com/book.htm

seems to be right up my alley. Has anyone read it? It looks as though it focuses directly on DV film-making with the final goal of transferring to film. Has anyone found any other books/resources that also focus on this specifically?

As an editor, I'm more honed on post info, the process of uprezzing/editing/transfers, but my entire crew would benefit from any knowledge on the whole of matter.

Thanks a ton,
Spencer Houck

[EDIT: I searched for the title of this book and didn't come up with anything, but now I see a thread on it by browsing, sorry for the dupe]
