Tutorial Book for Vegas 5
 

I am looking for a tutorial book to get me started with Vegas 5 software.
I had my hands-on with Adobe Premiere 6 NLE so I know the basics of editing.


There are 3 tutorial DVD/books available that are in the same price range.
1) The Seminar Series: Vegas 5 and DVD Architect 2

2) Vegas 5.0 FASST

3) VASST Introduction to Vegas 5



Although I am new to Vegas, I do not want a tutorial book/DVD
that teaches the basic of the basics. This will be my first and only
tutorial book/DVD so I need your recommendation. Thank you.

The Seminar Series and Vegas 5.0 FASST DVD sets are both designed to point out the "new features" in Vegas 5 from Vegas 4. These probably would not be a good choice to "learn Vegas".

The VASST Introduction to Vegas 5 will give you a more in-depth "this is how Vegas 5 works" and, coming from another NLE, would be more useful than the other two.

In addition to that series, you might also want to look at my newsletters which explains how to do many things in Vegas and includes a "beginner's corner" series which explains the various areas of the screen and how common tasks are performed.

Finally, Gary Kleiner has a 5 DVD training set for Vegas 5 which will cover everything from capture to PTT and all editing in-between.
