VZ-ROCK vs. BOGEN 521PRO vs. ZOE DVL?

Hello, I'm preparing to shoot a movie. These 3 controllers seem to have all the same functions. I've heard some favorable feedback on the Bogen 521Pro.

Does anyone have experience with any of these 3 models?

Which would be best with a tripod and a fig-rig?

Thanks.

I like the VZ-Rock. I have had mine for a while now and the large paddle makes for smooth starts and stops for me on my Sony PDX-10.

Having the other functions, like rec, pause, ff, rew and the indicator LED are great too. Focus is a nice extra too.

Thanks Sean for your input.
Anyone else have feedback on these items?

All three of these units have been written about on this forum, and a search will yield lots of info. Each one has its fans, and promoting one over the other inevitably leads to noses getting out of joint. Read the posts, try to filter the noise, and make a reasonable decision.Remember that the main reason you are buying one of these units is to control the zoom lens. Everything else is "nice to have." Consider the price. Consider the manufacturer's warranty and service record. And carefully read the negative comments. Does it read as an honest criticism, or just carping?

Good luck
