Re: New FCC Ruling effect on Lavaliere?
The amount of money needed when these things change isn't trivial. If you have 6 channels of wireless (4 mics and 2 returns) you are talking about $15k in transmitters and receivers. Sure, you can...

Re: Anyone ever had a stream ban?
From a technology standpoint that is a pretty easy thing to accomplish.
Here in the US its not legal to do if you have to emit a signal to do it. If you can build your structure to be radio...

Re: High Frame Rate and End Triggers?
Check out the record times here - https://www.convergent-design.com/kb.html?view=kb&kbartid=15

Re: High Frame Rate and End Triggers?
I don't see the problem here. The Odyssey will record 2k @ 240fps continuously until your media runs out. If you want to run for 2 minutes.. No problem. Record for 2 minutes. As long as you have lots...

Re: Convergent Design - New Firmware Posted
Pardon my frustration.
DNxHR?? Ever or Never? Is it really that hard to do versus writing code to make a monitor a switcher and a video scaler?
Or do you want to just keep pushing that codec...

Re: Letting Other People Use Your Footage?
My response is dependant on who is asking and for what purpose the use is. For personal stuff I am quite generous with sharing footage. For any commercial interest in my work I am much less generous....

Re: DNxHD - When is it coming?
Thanks for the update Dan,
Will you be rewriting the codec for DNxHR since DNxHD is EOL?
Edit - MOV wrapper is fine when you are on the MAC side of the fence. It is NOT fine on the PC side of...

Re: Which Raid
My thoughts,
I recommend a different strategy. RAID is not a backup replacement. Dollar for dollar a few drives with the footage backed up across them is a FAR better strategy.

Re: First Greenscreen shoot, FS5
My opinion is the biggest thing you need to be careful with is your DOF. If you are shooting in a small space that suggests that the subject will be close to the camera. That will be OK with a wide...
