I have found that if you set up a light stand, c-stand etc. and put the hollow handle of the Glidecam onto it, you can easily balance the unit in real time. It takes only a few minutes at the most....

I too am seduced by a matte box...especially for our EX 1. BUT....I also love a $150 circular polarizer on a 24-70 lens for about the same money. This is what is so cool about DSLR HD video...lenses...

I have noticed that when you center up the suggested exposure settings while shooting video the footage comes out a little on the over exposed side. 24-70 2.8 lens. I will try in the future to set it...

I have used my 10-22 for years shooting stills, now on a T2i for video. The lens in my opinion is actually sharper that my 24-70L. It's fantastic on the T2i...very little distortion.

Hi Bryan, We have and Ex1 and of course it never overheats in our Key West environment I believe due to the internal fan. Albeit it's samll and silent, but it does the job.
