Re: 70-200mm 2.8L IS + C100???

I'm not sure if it helps at all but I have the same lens and it works well with my C300 after the DPAF update. I haven't had my C100 updated so I can't test that I'm afraid.

Re: The new Shoot35 CINEfocus r3

Hi Robin, I heard back from Wayne at Shoot35 about this, he's saying that the drive gear on the r3 was custom built so he might look at creating alternative options in the future but has no immediate...

Re: The new Shoot35 CINEfocus r3

Oh right, I haven't used the XF300 so I wasn't aware of that Robin, looking at images of the camera I can see what you mean. I'll let you know as soon as I get a response from Shoot35.

Re: The new Shoot35 CINEfocus r3

It's certainly possible to change drive gears but I'm not sure if Shoot35 are planning additional gear pitches. I'll ask and get back to you. Failing that you could use one of the Flexigears as long...

Sorry to hear that Mark, it installed fine for me, although I did start to get a little panicky with the various lights flashing etc!

I'm moving back to FCPX so I no longer need my Nvidia (PNY) Quadro 4000 graphics card for the mac. This card makes a huge difference in Premiere Pro and other Adobe apps that utilise CUDA via the...

Re: Kessler Pocket Jib Traveller

I've just received on of these and the bend in the middle isn't due to any parts flexing, there's a small amount of play after the two halves connect together which results in the visible bend but it...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

The retailer didn't have any extreme versions when I picked mine up but the specifications of the Ultra outweigh those required by the C100 anyway. The C100 specifies a minimum of Class 4 and as I've...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

It would be tempting to think that your faster 45 MB/s cards are whats making the difference over the slower 30 MB/s ultras but my two year old class 4 Kingstons work perfectly as well so I doubt...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

Been testing for an hour or so this evening, I'm getting constant drop outs, usually within the first four minutes of recording. The card that drops out is not consistent, sometimes A sometimes B, it...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

I ran some tests last night using the same two Sandisk Ultra cards. Full initialised them both and started a dual record and one of the cards stopped recording 4 minutes in. Re-initialised and then...

Re: C100 dual slot recording, anyone have issues?

I'm using regular SD cards. I just carried on using one card, I didn't try to recover the bad one. I did have a strange issue last night when I did a full initialisation of the cards in camera. The A...

Re: Custom picture to match C100 and C300

I've not tried placing a C300 file in the C100, but even if they did work the colours would be different because manually setting the same values doesn't produce the same results.

That's why I...

Re: Custom picture to match C100 and C300

Hi Peter.

If you go to the Custom Picture menu and transfer one of the standard profiles to the SD card it should create the required folder structure on the SD card.

regards

Paul.

Custom picture to match C100 and C300

I've been working on setting up custom picture files to make the C100 and C300 match. The standard profiles do not produce matching colours so they had to be matched by adjusting the custom picture...

Re: CAUTION: 3rd party lenses

The C100 manual also states that the camera should be switched off. Whether Canon have improved way the fuses blow we won't know unless cameras start dying due to hot sapping lenses. I'm not going to...

Thanks for your nice comments about the post Mark. I'm intrigued by what you picked up from the manual, I couldn't find any way to navigate the menu without the side grip... did I miss something?

Re: Got my C100 Wow nice...

I suspect the original was shot using 30PF which wraps the video it in an interlaced wrapper which can result in these problems if not handled correctly.

One annoying thing is that the camera...
