GGS. It will cut off a tiny bit of the screen in open mode unless you move your eye...

I just did a shoot where I started out my jib...

I just did a shoot where I started out my jib shot pointing directly at the sun. I put it on auto and no probs.

I think it would be best to just bite the bullet and get a handfull of CF cards, dump and reuse.
I hate having two differant kinds of media but I just keep the CF cards with the 7D in its case

Not understanding. Didn't you plug the monitor and run it back to the jib operator and he able to view it? Why was it problimatic? Asking because I have a jib on the way.

Yes again I used auto ISO as I was going from sunlight to night. If your light is more consistant then you will want to lock in the settings.

I shot mine in jpg and set the time using the EOS software. I put my iso on auto because I was going from day to night so there was a very wide range. Just set the camera on a tripod and point it out...

you set the camera to shoot 8 frames a sec stills and render it as a movie. To achieve the blur in some sequences I'm guessing he just set the shutter speed real low.

For me it's simply easier than dealing with DOF adapters and the low light is key. These are absolutly fabulous in low light performance which means less lighting I have to haul around and I'm using...

Strange...I have never come across the flare and ghosting but then again I have a nice deep rubber sunshade on it that I bought for $4. Matteboxes arn't nessisary.
