Re: Catalyst Edit Vegas Replacement?

Yes, Catalyst Production Suite is a video production suite, and as such it is definitely a Vegas Pro replacement, based on what's on the web page. Catalyst Production Suite...

Re: Inquiry About Blackmagic Design URSA

B&H has the official BMD shoulder mount listed as an accessory for the URSA, but no price and unsearchable otherwise (looks like it's supposed to be hidden).

Re: URSA: Lens Options (Low cost, high-enough quality)

I discovered that Blackmagic listed three (now four) Micro Four-Thirds lenses on its website which are reasonably priced. I figured that these were as close to a kit lens as I was going to get for...

Re: Moving massive amounts of data, where's the bottleneck? (PC Based)

If it's a 3.5 inch external drive, it probably has a SATA drive inside. Disassemble the external drive and plug it into your desktop computer directly (skip the laptop). This will let the drives talk...

URSA: Lens Options (Low cost, high-enough quality)

I'm excited about the apparent versatility and low cost of the URSA platform, and I'd really like to buy these and the ATEM mixer to have an almost-complete BMD system, but I'm really curious about...

Re: Ceiling mounted Motorized Track System

I apologize for waking an old thread, but I was just curious if anyone has a ballpark figure as to how much a motorized track system like this would cost? I've looked at the various companies that...

Re: Ebay question (0% feedback buyer)

I had a similar problem when listing a cell phone. The first time it was a Nigerian scammer who hit the "Buy It Now" button. I refused to ship, and Ebay eventually refunded the fees. Of course, I had...

Re: The Push to Digital and the 'death' of 35. Good article.

To me, it just seemed like a bunch of head-in-the-sand whining. Technology marches on.

If anything, this will encourage studios to continue to scan more old film projects into high-definition...
