Ronin M and First Drone Videography
This is the second wedding we used a Ronin M on and finally feel we are getting comfortable getting good footage with. It was used during the dress and bride's entrance (everything else was...

Re: Do you charge more during busy months?
If you are booking more than you can handle, you should charge more. Otherwise, you're working more for less... and what for? :)
Sure you can say you shot 50+ weddings but if you shot them for a...

Re: How Do You Use Your Steadicam/Gimbal?
Any idea how the Ronin M fares in non slowmotion tracking shots? I've been considering one but the test footage that's been popping up has been disappointing. This looks good however and I'm hoping...

Re: Business Advice
I hope you're not signing a contract for a length of time. Anything can happen in this business and if your business booms in the next few months, you don't want to be binded to this guy in anyway. ...

Re: Robert & Kattie's Wedding Highlight
I never tried the Blackbird as the cams I've used have typically been too heavy for it. One thing I always suggest is the heavier the rig the better as the footage will be much smoother, especially...

Re: Robert & Kattie's Wedding Highlight
Here are some of my thoughts on stabilizers. I've used all 3 stabilizers (Movi m10 that is) and feel the Glidecam is the best for weddings. It's the most cost effective, mobile (you can literally...

Re: My First Sony A7S Wedding
I agree with Matthew. I actually think the colors of the color correction/grade would look great but the black/white levels are so compressed that there is no latitude in the image.

Opening Shot- Slider (PB Pocket Dolly Mini Specifically)
All macro shots were shot with a Canon 100mm 2.8 L

Re: Changing from C100 to A7s?
By the way the metabones is not reliable at all (I've had two now, 1 mark 3 which I returned for the mark 4 and they both have the same problem) and the battery life on the a7s is about 1-1.5 hour...

Re: C100 LCD monitor usability
The LCD is usable indoors, below average outdoors. I've used the C100 Z Finder and found it was too clunky. I recommend you get a C Cup or buy a monitor.

Re: Changing from C100 to A7s?
It's a bad move based on my experience. I use an a7s as a "c" camera with 2 c100s and the c100s always produce better images in iso less than 8000. The skin tones on the a7s can be weird, s long 2...

Re: A7s or GH4 - which for you?
One battery lasts 1.5 to 2 hours, more towards 1.5.
The a7s was used for most of the bridal prep minus the sliding shot of the groom and the outdoor/staircase shots.
It was also used during...

Re: A7S project (Not wedding)
I'm not a fan of S-Log. I think there's simply too much information lost when grading so flat on an 8 bit codec. The amount of noise in the shadows is horrible after you start grading it as well. ...
