Crime spree music video - "Endless Road"

Hi all. I shot this on a 5D and I'd love to know what you think. We used a bunch of different rigs, from shoulder to car mount to story cam. We shot all at night with fast glass to test our low light...

Re: Warp Stabilize test with handheld shoot in Barcelona

Render times were very reasonable unless I got into the advanced settings. Even then though, it wasn't bad. Yeah with any kind of stabilization you really have to isolate the exact segment you want....

Re: Warp Stabilize test with handheld shoot in Barcelona

Yeah I was very impressed that it didn't destroy the picture quality. It's very nice in that it usually has to do minimal cropping (on average 110-115%), because it's using some sort of...

Warp Stabilize test with handheld shoot in Barcelona

Hi all. I shot this video while in Barcelona with my wife. We finally had a chance to take our honeymoon after being married for six years.

I've been wanting to give a good test to the new Warp...

Lev Myshkin's Digital Tonic

Hi guys, I finished up editing my reel and wanted to post it here.

It's been a hell of a last year for me. I got into my first film festival (LA Comedy Shorts (http://www.lacomedyshorts.com)),...

Re: Music video shot using Technicolor CineStyle

Ah! False colors. I completely forgot, if you have a T2i (550D) with the latest release of the Magic Lantern firmware, it has false colors now.

(My personal camera is a 550D, and I use my friend's...

Re: Music video shot using Technicolor CineStyle

Definitely wisdom in that : ) It'd be foolish to just go with one picture style no matter what. Adapt and overcome.

I agree, it pays to practice and do little test runs so you know what you'll get...

Re: Zoom lens questions

Hi,

I've used the 24-105 f/4 L quite a bit. It's a very nice lens. Solid as hell and a good performer in daylight and toward evening. It's too slow for night shooting though, even on the MK II,...

Re: Music video shot using Technicolor CineStyle

Evan: Thanks, I'm keeping my fingers crossed : )

Regarding the banding, I'm thinking it might be too flat as well. There's nearly zero variation in solid colors in low light, making it hard to...

Re: full frame fast wide zoom off brand lens options

I'd definitely go with Sigma.

Their 24-70mm f/2.8 is a great lens. My friend owns one, and I just used it on a music video I shot.

A little off topic, but their primes are also great. I own...

Re: Music video shot using Technicolor CineStyle

Thanks Jeff! We just about broke ourselves making this in a week and a half for the contest deadline.

I had a really difficult time getting rid of the banding at the end (there's still some in...

Music video shot using Technicolor CineStyle

Hi all, my friend and I shot this music video for the Moby, Saatchi & Saatchi and Vimeo "Hello, Future" (http://vimeo.com/saatchiandsaatchi) challenge. I was cinematographer on this one, and went...

Alan, have you seen "Exit Through the Gift Shop"? Its main character is an insane Frenchman who falls into documenting the street art movement and winds up filming Banksy a bit. The only problem is,...

Hi Ron, sorry it took me so long to get back to you on this. I can't vouch for the LinkDelight batteries but I think they're getting them from the same source as all the other knockoff batteries. I...

Best lens for the money you can get, hands down. If you're just beginning to put your lens kit together, start with the 50mm f/1.8.

I'm using mine like a maniac and I absolutely love it.

I love the Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 VC. Been shooting a bunch on it with my T2i. Here's a little snippet from a short I was helping my friend film the other night - needed the 60fps of my T2i and a wide...

Danger Zone (trailer for a comedy filmed on T2i)

I was helping film a short comedy (a Top Gun spoof) this weekend and set up a time lapse while the filming was going on. We were shooting on a 5D Mark II as the primary camera, and I had my T2i there...

123, If You Want Me (time lapse)

Hi all, I just finished this time lapse that I made at a friend's party. I took 1 exposure per second for an hour and a half using a Canon Rebel T2i with a Tamron 11-17mm f/2.8 lens set to 17mm.
