Sci Fi project

Hi Reese,

Awesome start, dude! I was particularly impressed with the:

- Editing, cuts/transition (all excellent except for the change from bathtub to water drinking scene)

- Camera work (nice establishment, point of view, dollys, etc)

- Audio track (beefy sound effects - almost too much base but definitely works)

- Lighting (just right)

- Plot (interesting/curious/sexy)

My only suggestion would be to include a royalty free music mix - your production will be greatly improved adding some orchestra elements, maybe something like "Fear and Fantasy" You can't go wrong at thse prices:

Keep us posted and good luck,

Michael

How long do you expect the post production to take including editing, music, sound etc?

It took about a week and a half to do that whole scene, including pre-prod. And as the scene is quite CG-heavy, many other scenes will be faster. So the movie may get done in less than half a year!

All I can say is....WOW! Looks like it could be the next Blair Witch Project!

What you've done so far puts a lot of the $100 million Hollywood films to shame!

Want more! :)

I think its great that you are using the resources you have to tell a story.
Very interesting start and presentation concept.

I encounter so many people who say: how can you even THINK about making a film!?!

Wimps! This sort of thing shows how wrong they are.

Memorable url by the way.
I am passing this link around to show to the wimps.

Here here! I used a feature with available resources as my film school...granted, I was learning at the time, so my final product won't be as good as this, but you can't argue with determination.

I can think of nothing more terrifying than a beautiful naked woman showing up in my back yard.

You have great overall production values for an independant movie. Nothing stands out as low quality. Most importantly, the story seems to be getting interesting. I look forward to the next segment.

I noticed one thing in episode 2 at about 2:25. The black space seemed to go on too long and I thought there might be a playback problem for a few seconds. I think if you led the audio more before the fade-in it would have better pacing. I liked the way the audio trailed the cut to black and I think the same would work for the end of the black pause.
