New Commercial

The client really liked the spot, and that was the most important thing for me. Anyhow, wanted to know what everyone else thought of this :30 spot for Celebrations Catering.

YouTube - Celebrations Catering :30

I heavily borrowed the style or actual elements from their website, to continue with their current campaign and image. Hope you all like it.

well edited and gets the point across

I think color correction or little bit more color correction could have helped

nevertheless, good work:)

Thanks

Truthfully, I never color correct. Which shots would you recommend and what type of adjustments. I've seen a lot of writing on here about it, but I worked as a news photog until a year and a half ago. There's very little of that, or time for it, in news. Thanks for the critique. Keep em coming.

I think the green kitchen scene at :17 & the sign scene at :20 could get a cool look out of it. A quiick trick I've found is a simple adjustment to brightness/contrast. Raise or lower the brightness a small amount (-5 to 5) and the contrast from myb 10 to 20. It's quick & easy, but can give a great look imho. Works in photoshop too so you could adjust some of the stills & jpegs.

Your individual food shots were excellent. I'm curious to know what you shot and edited the commercial with? How long did it take?

Solid piece. Nice narration and interesting shots.

Perhaps youtube is washing it out a bit, make sure you know what it will look like when it displays on TV, in a movie theatre, etc. A little boost in saturation and a little bit with contrast and the images will pop a lot more.

One thing, however, that distracted me was the large circular logo in the upper right. Seemed like it took up too much of the screen and covered too much of the video that I wanted to see. Maybe make the graphics a little smaller/transparent/different design?

Also, in the "glasses, linens, tables and chairs" part, you might want to line up the video with what is being said, the image comes a little bit later than the corresponding term. Then you could easily lengthen the chef clip to fill in the gap that is made.

Good job though, love the style of the graphics themselves.
