Colin, excellent work. Short, and very powerful.

Where do you get your sound effects/music for your videos?

Steve Franco February 2nd, 2004 01:23 PM

I enjoyed your PSA. I thought it was quick, well edited and got to the point in a very strong way. The last shot was my favorite of all. Nice work on this. Where did you get the idea from?

Christopher C. Murphy February 2nd, 2004 01:36 PM

Hey, cool PSA.....can I get a copy to run at my station? I like the rack-focus shot at the end.

Also, can you give specs on the pre-through-post? Cam, lighting etc?

Colin, that was great. Everybody else already summed it up but it was short, to the point, and looked beautiful. I'll wait for you to come and tell me you shot it on DV, but for now I'm going to say this was film.

Colin Minihan February 2nd, 2004 07:40 PM

awesome!!! glad you all liked it.

ill tell you the technical stuff now.... it was shot in 40minutes in a Vancouver playground. ... DVC pro was the format used. No lights because there was no time - the child had a dentist appointment so it was really rushed. In post magic bullet was used... and it was edited with ulead media studio pro 7.0 on pc.

the sound effects are slamming sounds in reverse... ther are about 3 of them layered.

i got the idea just thinking of what i could do a little psa for and have it be effective... im in film school... and there was only a week to think of somthing.

Christopher C. Murphy - sure you may have a copy where do i send it and is dvd a good format for you? Also what station is it for? email me smileyfilms@hotmail.com

Great job!

The only thing that's bugging me is the typo.

It should be What's instead of Whats.

Nice work Colin!
