Check out this movie I made

If you're bored and looking for something to watch, check this out!

My buddy and I recently made a film using our XL1s, Premiere 6.5, After Effects 5.5, and a tiny tiny bit of Lightwave.

Most of the stuff you'll see here, however, is practical fx - we built and shot all sets, props, and miniatures from scratch using spare parts and junk we found in the trash.

Here are some screens:

Anyway, the movie's called "The Siberian Farce", and it's about a crazed merc for hire who has to save the world from a Soviet missle. Enjoy!

That movie rocks, plain and simple. I'm a big fan of anything with ninja, and that movie has all kinds of ninja :).
On a more technical note, it was great. You did a great job building suspense/intrigue before revealing what was going on. Also, excellent job on the props, sets, and effects... (was that a t-shirt ninja inspired facemask http://www.houseofninja.com/lessons.php?)

"The Siberian Farce" is definately going into my "good movies" folder. Great job. Very funny.

Great work! I love it. Very creative and guerilla style. Man I am a sucker for anything like this. Also watched Operation Theta and that too was very cool!

I have bookmarked your webpage and look forward to more work from sundevil.

The props, CG and sound kick arse. Too bad you couldnt use a DVX.

ha, that was awesome. I loved the little twist at the end. It was shot very well and had a great story. Again, great job... keep it up! i look forward to seeing more from you.

Personally, I felt it to be overall humorous ,and obviously some good effort went into it. But I felt like after a minute, the film just drug on and on. But the end redeemed itself and I couldn't help but chuckle. The end is what definitely made it for me.

As for people saying it reminded them of Outpost Theta... I personally did not like Outpost Theta AT ALL... This one, though a bit sluggish at times, was worth the watch.

Thanks everyone for watching, we very much appreciate it!

tastefully done.
One suggestion though...
The end. I think you can afford to drop the home videocam "recording" text and white frame. It's obvious and should work without it.

Haha, nice twist at the end! Beautiful XL1 stuff too.

I'm currently out of bandwith, so if you want to watch you can either try one of the mirrors here:

or watch a lower qual version on Ifilm here:

I loved the film, keep on rockin'... :) only critic from me is that the overall rhythm of the movie is a little bit slow (for my taste)...

cheers
;)
