Two Commercials
Nick Harris Nick Harris is offline May 4th, 2009, 07:16 PM

Hi everybody,

Here are two commercials produced by my company, Sunspot Pictures.

The first was shot on the HPX500 and graded in Apple Color. It was produced for the Doritos super bowl contest last year.

The second was shot on the HVX200, and for obvious reasons wouldn't have gained much with the 500. We volunteered our production services to help Nesian Clothing's St. Jude Project: Can Cancer Campaign.

Nesian is donating 50% of each 'Can Cancer' T-shirt sale to fund cancer research. They are trying to raise $1,000,000 by April 2010.

As always, thanks for watching!

Ads looks good, clean, great acting, excellent DOF - didn't know the HPX500 had that much DOF. Very curious what camera you used for the Donut Shop Hero trailer?

Thanks Nicholas, that DOF comes from a Fuji cine zoom that retains a T 2.0 throughout the entire focal range. It could be even better with good digi primes

Donut Shop Hero was shot on the HVX200/Redrock+Nikons combo. We did do a pickup day on the 500 almost a year after principle photography, although none of that is in the trailer. It was so painful to have to "dumb down" the footage from the 500 to match!
