12.36@121MPH & a GL1 strapped in the back

This is a friend of my son with over 510 horsepower under the hood in a Cobra.

He's been down in the 11's, but needs better traction, a 4 point roll cage (to actually race others). At this point, he has the fastest car that is street legal in South Central Alaska.

(posted the right link now)

Please do not direct link this since it's his site policy, and you might not like what you see if you do <;~)

Of course, they showed me this AFTER they shot this with one of my cammies....hehe

Nice!

I love drag racing videos from inside the car. I think it's much more exciting that the standard view they show on TV.

Surprised how much sway the Mustang has when he shifts. Maybe it just looks more exaggerated on video since you don't see it from that point of view as much.

ANything under 15 for a Mustang, and the wheels not falling off, is fantastick!

Heh heh.... J/K. I'm Corvette all the way, but my first car was a Mustang so I do have a little bashing grounds.

500hp is far from "stock" for a cobra. The torque steer almost ripped the sterring wheel out of his hands- see that swerve.

500hp is what the Viper is touting...and getting the same times. The Viper is a much heavier vehichle- 500hp in a cobra should be hitting low 11's if not very high 10's, especially in a climate like Alaska.

Cool non the less- love the sound of that beast. This all coming from an admitted ricer. I love my imports. Ever see Adam Saruwatari's RX-7 than runs 9's. My personal (farily realistic) dream is to own a Subaru Imprezza STi...305lbs of AWD torque- low 13's bone-stock with US emmisions package (3 catalitic converters!)

Dylan, have you heard about the new Z06 Vette coming out? It's going to have 500hp STOCK- and is now in the class of a Viper GTS!

*getting carried away- cars are my 2nd love next to DV*

Oh yeah!
The C6 should be hitting showrooms anytime now, but I hear the Z06 won't be around until next year. It's about friggen time they stepped up to face the Viper. I wonder how much the price will increase though
