Pimp My Ride

There is a link to the movie at the end of the first paragraph.

I'm surprised that this is the first indie spoof of a makeover show I've seen!
It's funny, but only if you watch the real versions.
Personally, I'm an Overhaulin' man myself.

Corey Sturmer May 25th, 2004 06:38 PM

Yeah, that's the first thing I ask people when I want to show them...Did you see the show? Because all the subtleties and nuances really don't mean anything unless you have.

Robert Knecht Schmidt May 25th, 2004 07:42 PM

My favorite feature is the Guinea Pig right in the dash.

Bernard Diaz May 25th, 2004 10:07 PM

I got to be honest with you. I thought it was funny and I don't know who you're trying to spoof.
If corny but in a funny kind of way.

Kyle Kauss May 26th, 2004 10:56 AM

Dude that was fawesome!! totally funny I was laughing my ass off. It ran a little long but other then that very entertaining (I\'ve only seen the real show like twice but what i saw you guys spoofed it well.

Fernando Maldonado May 26th, 2004 04:52 PM

i loved the end where all the water spills and it slows down... awsome

Corey Sturmer May 26th, 2004 08:39 PM

Thanks guys, I think this is my first movie that DVinfo liked!

Kirill Bichutsky May 27th, 2004 02:23 PM

The URL on the site is down... I really want to see this video.

Corey Sturmer May 28th, 2004 01:51 PM

Video is back up.

James Emory May 28th, 2004 10:54 PM

Link Status?
The link still doesn\'t work as of this post. Maybe you need to get your server pimped. Ha, ha.

Corey Sturmer May 29th, 2004 09:19 AM

It should??? It works now anyhow.

James Emory May 29th, 2004 10:56 AM

Great Job!
That was really funny. I agree that you would definitely have to see the real show to get all of the mockery. How long did it take to shoot all of that and then how long to cut it together? Ashton must have cost you a fortune for his appearance.

Corey Sturmer May 30th, 2004 09:56 AM

That took a total of three days...But not 72 hours. It took less than 3 hours to shoot the opening section, including xzibit, myself and the driving scenes, but spread over the course of two days. The pimping took 5 hours to shoot, and then one day to edit. I\'ll pass that along to my friend ashton!

Rafal Krolik May 30th, 2004 11:39 AM

LOL, where can I order those custom wheels?
Very true to the actual show..loved the guinea pig.

All times are GMT -6. The time now is 04:55 AM.
