Shot on Sony DV Widescreen (Guerilla Budget & Bubblegum flavoured) Enjoy... |
Looks nice. Let us know when the film is up to see? (or a trailer)
|
Headshots.
I've seen other sites that do this. They want to introduce a new VIDEO they want you to see and buy so they show 127 boring shots of someones bobbing head. No, thank you. Not picking on you, Kevin. It's just that the stills don't show or tell me anything. |
Haha. Rob Belics. Don't fall off your chair. Not trying to sell you anything.
Thanks Rob Lohman. You've been great on this forum. Glad you approve. Over and out. |
Incredible look! What camera did you use? HD? What did you do (or will do) in post to keep those great colors?
|
Kevin, your stills look nice. Are we going to get to see a trailer soon?
|
Gustavo,
We shot SD not HD using the Sony 570WS as A cam(stills are from those). PD150 as BCam. Although we'll probably end up using only ACam footage. I did not touch the cam at all but i think my DP and crew used a wide lens (bare) balanced to a half warm card mostly. A star filter was used once i.e. the licking shot. Handheld docu-style throughout with a mix of natural and set-up light. Deciding on the final colour pallete at the moment. Dylan, We're on a tight cutting schedule. Priority is to complete the final cut of the full flick... I'll post a reply if we do get a trailer up. Just wanted to say that this forum and certain members have been very helpful in my preparation of this film...erhh... sorry.. digital video that is. haha. Cheers and thanks for checking my stuff out. |
Kevin
Are you only using the A-camera footage because the two don't match up? I'm curious to see how much better the 570 looks side by side with the 150. Thanks |
I've seen the 500 against the 150 and I can tell you that the difference is starkly noticeable. A different world; 2/3" 16:9 -vs- 1/3" 4:3.
|
We switched mostly to one cam after the first day of shooting after i had a look at the footage. To my eyes, there was quite a difference in the 2 cams.
Depth, warmth and handling of detail in wider/"busier" shots. We had the century 16:9 adaptor on the pd150 which provided some zoom/focus probs. The 570 and pd150 seems to match most when the 150 is on very tight shots. We could also play focus on the 570 and the resolution is unbeatable. The footage from the 570 (rented) is a class above the pd150 and will find a place in my future projects. Pretty hard to go back now... Cheers... |
I am screening my first little film for the first time tomorrow night and i get this weird feeling a lot of people are showing up! Yikkkkkeeesssss!
