This is a translation and is not very good, a pardon for my English.

The production I realize with very low cost, but with many desire of working.

Animations were realized in 3d with lightwave recreating a real assault that happend on May 30, 1982 in the south Atlantic Ocean.

It was seen for exsoldiers and they like me very much.

i would to like to be able to contact my self with people of the exterior in order that they help it send to different contests.

Enter in www.creavision.com.ar and sign my gestbook!!! (libro de visita)

Thank you very much!

Dylan Couper September 1st, 2004 10:48 AM

NICE!

THe only animation that needs some work is the ship blowing up.

Otherwise, looks great!

Thomas Smith Jr September 1st, 2004 03:25 PM

Wow the XL1 produced some great looking stuff. What filters were used?

Cesar Turturro September 1st, 2004 03:56 PM

we dont use filters, but we shot with very good light conditions. Cloudy day. and long depth of field. its a very good convinations

Keith Loh September 1st, 2004 04:11 PM

Cesar, I wrote a screenplay about Canadian soldiers and while that won a contest, I got a lot of feedback from producers about how expensive it would be (and unfilmable). I've seen your trailer now and if that is any indication as to the quality of the feature I can confidently reply that a low budget version of my script could be shot. Thank you for showing it.

Glen Chua September 1st, 2004 06:02 PM

Holy smokes, that was inspirational man. Last year I filmed a WWII short epic, Keith, I'd love to see your script as I am also from the Vancouver area!

Keith Loh September 1st, 2004 09:22 PM

Email me and I'll tell you about it.

Give that man a million dollars!

No, seriously, I loved it. Music fit great. Beautiful shots. Great camera pans/moves. I'm jealous.

Cesar Turturro September 18th, 2004 06:18 PM

Hi again, here I leave them a trailer more short and less weighed with some modifications that the previous one.

http://www.pixelbeat.com.ar/creavisi...r%201982_2.wmv

Thank you for the commentaries to all!.
I have to say that he amazed the quantity of messages of support of people of the rest of the world. I was not imagining that without money it could manage to do a product that is interested in seeing so many people without having had a support of distribution or advertising, already there are many people that want to see the movie full and it already is something that not think, not imagining when we begin this.
This probably know from breath for many people that since like me they were thinking that to do a movie and to manage to make it come to all sides of the world was something that alone happens in the big producers and with big budgets, but not and though probably it is not seen by million persons at least we come very far and with that alone a person of españa or eeuu or latinoamerica or where it is it wants to see her it completes after seeing the trailer already for my It is a fact, the truth friends, I have fulfilled a dream, and have not even silver neither am known nor have big contacts only many people desire of filming. Every message of breath that comes for my is the great one pays.

again sorry for my english

A great greeting to all

Hey Cesar,

I like your trailers (both) very, very much, and me and my nephew watched it already like a hundred times, every time saying: wooow.

What we just don't get it: how low budget was it? Because from what I can see from the trailer, it really looks great (okay, the blowing ship was a little fake, I thought, but the rest...)

So we are both wondering: How did you score the music? Is it only played with keyboards and recorded via computer?
Did you make your own special effects? Did someone do it for you, did you had to pay?
Professional actors? How did you get those costumes and guns?

I'm not really planning to shoot something like that myself, it's just that me and my nepweh are very curious about how you managed to do all those things with a low budget.

Ow, another thing, is it like a television movie, where you got sponsored? Or is it just your own project? Because I see you made a trailer for tv?
Sorry if one (or more, or all) of these questions are stupid, but we are really interested.
Thanks,

Mathew

check the page, now is in english in the link http://www.pixelbeat.com.ar/creavision/proyectoingl.htm

the actors are students, the guns and close are providied for the army and the planes (super etendard) are of the naval base "Comandante Espora" of my city, Bahia Blanca, Argentina.

Were you wondering because?, good, the falkland war is a wound opened in my country, the these people very sencible and though it seems to you to be strange it is one of you to give priority to full-lenght films that ahce in my few country of a way the conflict humanizes, highlighting the human and professional values of the Argentine soldiers.

Mathieu Ghekiere October 2nd, 2004 02:15 PM

Thank you, and congratulations with the film!

Mathieu Ghekiere November 7th, 2004 02:16 PM

Cezar, maybe this is a stupid question, but did you use special fx for your bullets, or are they real? I mean the fire of the gun, is it real or computer generated?

Thank you

Cesar Turturro November 7th, 2004 03:36 PM

some bullets are real, other are fx generated by computer, in the trailer, the guy with the machinegun, are real bullets, but somes shoots are inserts with computer.
cesar

Mathieu Ghekiere November 7th, 2004 04:37 PM

Thanks for the information.
Do you think it is possible to create relatively good looking gunshots with after effects?

Thanks,

Cesar Turturro November 7th, 2004 05:02 PM

a use after effects to inserts a real fire on the guns, i use combustion too. you must put real fire, because i try to draw somes shoots but i don't like me.

Thanks Cezar. Thanks for your adress, but I think I'll wait to chat. Héh, don't take it personal, but most of the time I'm a little bit busy and I'm a little afraid most of the time I wouldn't really know what to say to you exept maybe asking you some questions from time to time, but I can do that here too, héhé, that's by the way what I like so much at this forum.

But thank you very much for al your information!
If you could have more clips on your site, please do so, I'm very curious to see more!
