New feature film - not for the faint hearted!

Hey Catrina.

I am about to watch the trailer( still loading) and I just want to say that it is great to see finally see some scary Dv films...I lve that genre;)

Now I have watched the trailer and though I didnt like the editing too much, I would love to see the film.
It looks like a dark realistic horror film and that is a genre not much used in Dv-features. Very nice.
Is there any chance I can get a DvD copy?
And what was the actual budget of the film?

Hi there! Thanks for checking out the trailer -- and glad you liked the trailer enough to want to see more of the film!!

Regarding comments on budget and editing, maybe Im not the one to answer, but the film was shot micro-budget style for sure.

You can rent DVD of Last Exit soon, if you live in any Nordic country, as it will be relased officially soon.

Anyway, the film is more of a dark thriller than straight horror...but I think you will find it interesting anyway!

I live in Denmark so I suppose that is a country where it will be released;)

I watched the preview and was very intrigued. Interesting, a Irish director making a feature about the inner workings of the Copenhagen underground.

Were the reviews based on the final cut? If so, I'm looking forward to purchasing it.

I would love to hear about your experiences as a crew member.

Here in DC there are a bunch of us wanting to get together and make a feature. So any tips and wisdom would be appreciated. Believe it or not, a lot of people here in DC don't have cars. (Pretty good transportation system in and around the Capitol).

p.s. If you want the soundtrack to get some free promotional, I know a friend here close to DC who is running a new indie oriented podcaster site.

very good! i like the feel of the piece. nicely done to all who worked on it! one tip i would pass on... in the opening of the trailer you have missed an excellent opportunity to subconsciously sell your film! when the title begins to appear (which i like the way its done) it starts with "x" the "s" then "t" STOP! right here you could bring up the "e" instead of the "t" and since your film revolves heavily around sex your title can temporarily show that by spelling it out on the screen using the letters from your title! viola! sex sells! use it to your advantage!

Hi, having been a professional trailer editor, may I offer a few pointers?

Trailers are anywhere from two point five to four minutes in length and are used to tell a shortened linear storyline without giving away the best parts. Tease the audience.
Your trailer looks great from a photographic standpoint but is very hard to follow storywise.
You should consider recutting it and add some plot driven elements. Blood, sex and bad guys isn't enough, but blood, sex and bad guys with some unique plot driven dialogue scenes to tie the trailer together is another story.
