The Proposal - A Nature Film
 

Spring in the south is now in full swing. Landscapes and gardens all around Atlanta and its surrounding counties are full and lush. There has been a significant amount of rainfall this season and the colors are at their peak.

Beautiful photography, stunning locations. For what it is, it's great.

Not a fan of the 5D but it does have a really nice colour / tonal quality to it I must admit.

Filipe, that was stunning.

I don't want to turn this into a camera debate, but I have the 7D and an EX3 and there's no way an EX1/3 can come close to that. I realize for video production the DSLRs are limited but who cares when you can produce something as beautiful as that, for about a third of the cost no less.

You are incredibly lucky to be able to experience such a wonderful location first hand and I (we) am lucky that you could capture it as well as you have and shared it with the rest of us.

Felipe... great work.. Very beautiful. I am still trying to figure out why our 5D's get knocked so much. Your work here is proof of the greatness of these Canon cameras.

It gets knocked due to massive aliasing and a poor coded, plus operational issues. That's not to say you can't do good things with it if you're careful.

Thanks for your nice comments; keep in mind that VDSRL is a new thing, and the 5d has been the Pioneer on this modality. I can still remember the days when attepmpting to do the same thing with a Super-8 Chinon and lots of money in film and processing; and still didn't even come close to waht we can do today with these marverlous machines. Having said that, desite the limitations, I like the 5d very much and the things I can do with it. Thanks again for your positive feedback.
