Good stuff Juan. What lenses did you use for this?

I used a pair of Nikkor: 28mm AF2.8D and 50mm AF1.4D
Canon USM 100mm 2.8
and Tokina 11-16 2.8.

I tried to stay most of the time between 2.8 and 5.6, I wanted fast shutter but not too exaggerated, so I tried to keep it around 1/100 (never more than 1/200). 0.3 and 0.6 ND were barely used. We used two different neutral profiles (0,-4,-2,0) for high contrast and (0,-2,-2,0) for low contrast shots. Some minor grading in Apple Color.

BTW, i´m a huge fan of your articles and reviews. There´s a lot of valuable information. I´ve been following your site for some years now (i have your 2006 or 2007 reel in a hard drive as a learning resource). thank you very much for taking the time to share your experiences and knowledge.

That was a great video, you pushed the camera to the max, you must have taken a lot of takes and that really shows in your edit which was fantastic, enjoy watching ( I don't speak Spanish) but the video was very entertaining with all different takes which kept me watching it to the end.

I'm also curious to see what lenses did you use and how did you keep up with the focus especially shooting with sunny days ?

There are master clips of every musician playing the full song, shot with the 28mm2.8 except for the DJ, shot with the Tokina. Closeups with 50mm and 100mm.
All the portraits were shot with the 50mm1.4
The last part has a bit of everything mixed. We did 2 full performances and about 10 only with the final part.
All was shot at 1080p25
I used a shoulder rig with matte box and (cheap) follow focus. No monitoring, a laptop was used to watch some takes between locations.
The dolly is a diy project we made back in 2009 because there were none available for renting and has been quite useful since then.
