I beat myself up!

Well now I've really done it. I was inspired to do some kung-fu shooting but none of my film buddies were up to it tonight.

So did I let that stop me? NO! I just beat myself up.

Just did the compositing really quickly in shake, cheesy sounds effects in FCP, and a "Dojo" in C4D.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks,

That was really nice!
What camera did you use and how long did it take you to do the post production?

Eric James August 8th, 2005 01:11 PM

Hey Eniola,
thanks for the kind words :)

It was shot on an FX-1. Post took about an hour and a half.

Thanks,
Eric James

Very cool.

Bill Porter August 8th, 2005 08:27 PM

Ha! good job!

The cheesy sound effects are no big deal but the second punch the you on the right throws, misses by a mile but still makes a contact sound effect, hehe

My favorite part is the lighting and overall look - very nice. What'd you do for the actual lighting and the real shadows?

Joe Winchester August 10th, 2005 11:55 AM

Nice!

Now I want to see you pull a liu kang and turn into a dragon and bite your own head off! Fatality!

Hey Bill,
What do you mean by real shadows?

Thanks,
Eric James

Bill Porter August 10th, 2005 03:50 PM

Ok, let me rephrase. What'd you do for the lighting and shadows? :)

Kevin Calumpit August 10th, 2005 04:56 PM

yeah very nice

Eric James August 10th, 2005 06:47 PM

The lighting was just one 1k halogen on each side and black lights above. I simulated the same lighting in the 3d scene.

Thanks,
Eric James
