Surfing edit

Here's a little edit I put together from a surf comp this week.

Shot with the FX7 and a Libec TH-650 tripod. Just a quick edit of the highlights done in Vegas Pro 8, only CC is a slight contrast & saturation boost.

Enjoy & please comment!

Re: Surfing edit

I think it's pretty decent and the original edit or master would be great to watch.

However, the encoding is very poor, and it's not vimeo's fault. If it's a showreel, you might want to re-encode to vimeo's specifications, assuming your master is of the highest quality.

What is this intended for?

Re: Surfing edit

Vimeo encoding has never been my strong point...

However, if you click through to Vimeo and turn HD on you will get a much improved version which is closer to my final encoded file. I followed the Vimeo instructions closely for HD encoding but it seems the SD version Vimeo made takes a massive quality hit.

The clip is just something I did for a bit of fun - I'm working on a project with a guy who was in the comp and figured seeing as I would have all this footage from the day that wouldn't make it into the final project I'd throw up a little edit for everyone's viewing pleasure!
