Re: Flamenco from...Manchester

thanks guys, much appreciated!

no worries. We used 5DMII (main camera) and two 60D to capture secondary shots. We had three cameras running at any single take covering different bits of the performance.
We decided to go Canon L so we used 24-105mm and 70-200mm most of the time. There are other shots (overhead mostly) which were covered with a sigma 10-20mm, no the best option but Jacobs fail to deliver my new beautiful Tokina 16-28! : ( We also experimented with other lenses like Nikkon 50mm and some vintage ones but when it came to the editing, they just didn't cut together in terms of sharpness, colours......
We also used different bits and pieces like Cinevate sliders, magic arms, etc...

The whole thing was edited in Premiere CS5

cheers!

Great, loved the angles and the editing and the dust coming up off her shoes.

Easily matches the stuff we saw in Barcelona, but they never seem to look happy. Maybe worried about the EU situation?

Cheers.

That was amazing, probably my favorite Flamenco video yet. The editing was flawless, the sound great, what a location, and the dust billowing up from the floor around her feet....priceless. And the dramatic pause...you could feel the tension ratcheting up. Just great, thanks for posting this.

Beautifully captured and presented. Takes me back to my time in Seville.

Re: Flamenco from...Manchester

thanks!

yeah, the pause was key when planning the video as it separates the the first two parts from the climax. We split the piece as if it was a more traditional narrative film and i think this comes through, one way or the other.
