Unless it was a purposed style choice, as a personal preference, I would have choreographed the moments like the head tilt which moves out of the frame and then the camera catches up, so that the view remains on the subject through the move or shoot it wider to include the move within a static frame.

Were the mauve-ish rims and highlights a style choice or imposed by grading mixed light sources?

I am assuming this is a pre-production trailer or teaser. If the principle shoot is yet to come, my personal preference would be not to art it up too much and try not to use shaky cam unless it is purposed.

The music choice is appropriate I thought.

It is a grim topic but looks like an interesting premise which deserves development. I gather there is a survival guilt element in the story and a bit of supernatural from what was conveyed to me by your written description and the trailer. The trailer for me does not convey this information on its own. I gather, you do not want to use any voiceover in the trailer.

It is a hackey example that I make in the following. I think you might need to look for a visual metaphor for your male character's guilty freedom if you do not want to expose it in the trailer through dialogue, say a slow mo of a horse slipping its bridle and getting away, then cut back to his view of her in the tub and his grief reaction, then front-on of him travelling away to a new beginning. No horse though but something of your own which is true to your own vision of the story.

It would be interpreted correctly but also interpreted incorrectly as freedom of her spirit or him leaving the scene of a crime or abandoning her, the risk one takes with visual metaphors. Sometimes a little bit of mystery and musguidance is not such a bad thing in a trailer.
