We shot our latest music video on a Nikon D7000

The video for our latest single "Escape" was shot mostly in South Africa. The band footage was shot in Arizona.

Here's a link to watch it (1080p version obviously looks best):

Lenses used:

Tokina 12-24mm
Nikon 18-105mm
Nikon 35mm 1.8
Nikon 80-200mm 2.8

Our previous music video was shot on the same camera:

Nice Video Daniel. Could I ask what settings you used? What adjustments did you make to the picture settings and what ISO's did you shoot at?

Thanks,
Garrett

Well shot video! Love the parts where the blacks weren't crushed. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks guys!

I shot on picture mode neutral with the saturation down a notch and the contrast down a couple notches. I'm not sure if this is actually true but it seems to allow the most flexibility when color correcting later on. ISO was 100 whenever we were outside during mid day and even that sometimes left the shutter speeds too high. Inside for the band stuff and outside during dusk/sunrise I just kept the shutter at 1/50th or 1/60th and the aperture really wide, I think 2.2 or so on the 35 1.8 and then adjusted the ISO to expose. Ended up being between 400 and 500 ISO.

Unfortunately the album isn't available on iTunes yet as we haven't decided on a US release. You can listen to 16 tracks from our first album and the upcoming one on our site/Facebook/soundcloud.

Cheers,

Danny
