Professional Film Critique services

I have a rough draft of my first film more or less ready. So I started thinking of submitting it for unbiased reviews.
I could only find one - that works on a rough draft.
Microfilmmaker Magazine - Submit Films - Film Submission Information for a fee of 50$

Is there anyone else that reviews unfinished films ?
Preferably with a private review so I can get feedback that is not visible to the entire world.

Re: Professional Film Critique services

Hi,

My question is: Why would you pay someone to critique your film???
Go to conventions, contact final year film students, send it to magazines, search the internet,...
you've got so many ways...
Don't be affraid of what people think, it's your movie, your baby.
Just my 2 cents

Re: Professional Film Critique services

I think getting people to review, make suggestions or provide quality critiques online is a lot harder than people think.

I have posted 58 videos online with almost 500,000 views, about 700 likes and less than 500 comments. It seems that users just dump videos on sites like this, etc with very little feedback.

Feedback has really fallen by the wayside over the past year or so.

I know Chuck.
The internet is full with videos from people all over the world.
Everybody can make clips, shorts, movies,... with a camera and a pc at their disposal.
It's almost an overload of information, but the good stuff will always come to the surface.
And offcourse you have people who talk to other people like: "Hey, you got to check this stuff out".
It's easier to make but harder to sell ;)

Re: Professional Film Critique services

I'll tell you this:

I got my short film reviewed from that magazine (for free no less), and they were EXHAUSTIVE. I quit reading when the new hole they were tearing me got so big I fell into it. So if you want an uncompromising, in-depth review/critique of your work, might not be a bad way to go. If however, you want a review that you can post on your site to create buzz and make yourself and your movie look good, probably not the place to go unless your movie is perfect.
