Re: New commercial...
Really slick Brent. Loved the slow fades up to and down from black and the smooth tracking shots. The shallow DoF with branches sticking up out of the ground in those wides was very nice too. A couple of questions - how did you get such nice exposure filming in so much snow? - I've always found it quite a tricky thing to do, and did you have any problems with cameras in the cold?

Re: New commercial...
Hi Henry, I filmed this piece with my EX3 + Redrock M2e + Kessler CineSlide setup.
This was filmed in mid March, mid-afternoon (sun sets around 6pm in southern Ontario at that time of year). This was filmed in the height of sap production time, so the days were actually nice and a few degrees above zero. (In order to have enough sap running to fill the buckets it needs to freeze during the night and thaw during the day). I have filmed well below freezing (-15 C), with the same setup and with one of my nanoflash devices...everything worked fine. I forget what my camera settings were but the footage turned well. -Brent |
